The Louisville football team will finally have their chance at revenge against Central Florida. The two schools agreed to two game series with the first being in September of 2021 in Louisville:

This will be the first meeting since the schools last met on October 18th, 2013. The UCF Knights defeated the Cards 38-35. It would be the only loss the Cards would suffer that year. Furthermore, Card fans would have to watch UCF not lose again for the rest of the year and eventually go to the Fiesta Bowl. Ask any Louisville fan about Black Bortles and that game comes up. Although both programs have gone in different directions, this one should still be fun.
From UofL:
The Cardinals will play host to the Knights in Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium on Sept. 18, 2021, and will travel to Orlando on Sept. 17, 2022 to complete the series.
Louisville and UCF, former conference members, have met two times on the gridiron, with the series tied at 1-1. The two schools were together in the American Athletic Conference for one season in 2013, with the Knights knocking off the Cardinals 38-35 at Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium.
The Cardinals defeated the Knights 42-21 in the first meeting between the two schools on Nov. 2, 1985 at Cardinal Stadium.
The Knights finished the 2017 season 13-0, which was capped off with a 34-27 win over No. 7 Auburn in the Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl.
Head coach Bobby Petrino has yet to face the Knights during his coaching career.
