Over the weekend former University of Louisville star and 2014-15 Karl Malone Award Winner Montrezl Harrell helped save a motorist who was involved in a two-vehicle accident in which one vehicle was overturned. The accident occurred near the University of Louisville’s Belknap Campus at the intersection of 3rd Street and West Cardinal Boulevard.

According to Louisville SID Kenny Klein, Montrezl assisted the motorist out of the overturned vehicle (which was smoking) and along with the help of others kicked in a window and ran to a nearby business to get a fire extinguisher. Montrezl also waited for the fire crew to arrive.

Then today, Montrezl reportedly has agreed in principle to his rookie contract with the Houston Rockets, which is reported to be 3 years in length. Marc Spears of Yahoo Sports first reported the news.

TheCrunchZone.com will report the details of Montrezl Harrell’s contract once the full scope of the deal is known.
