With the 1066th pick in the 36th round of the 2018 MLB Draft, the San Francisco Giants have selected University of Louisville right-handed pitcher Bryan Hoeing.
A staple of the Louisville bullpen, the junior from Batesville, IN was one of Coach Mac’s go-to pitchers when the starter was in need of relief. Pitching in 24 appearances over an incredible 68.2 innings pitched (third most on team, most for pitcher with 5 or less starts), he registered an ERA of 2.88 with a strikeout to walk ratio of 51-25. Despite being a bullpen pitcher, Hoeing is third on the team in wins with a record of 7-2 (Wolf, Bennett).
