** Louisville football has received two recent commitments, RB Octavius Matthews and QB Malik Cunningham. We are also on commitment watch for LB Tadarrius Patterson, although we are unaware of his announcement timeframe.
** 3* DB Antonio Oliver has been hearing from Coach Heyward and is anticipating an offer this spring. He is fairly athletic…

** JUCO defensive end Rasool Clemons visited Louisville for the spring game along with teammate and UofL commit TJ Jallow. Clemons has not been in contact with the Louisville coaches since his visit although it would not surprise me if this changed down the road.
** At this point, we are unsure the status of recent 2016 Louisville offensive line commit Linwood Foy. This tweet from yesterday, April 21st, by a College of the Canyons assistant coach seems to indicate Foy may still have an open recruitment. We will continue to monitor.
Besides @LinwoodFoy_3 all soph OL have signed to 4 year schools. @D_Chambers74 @ejnewman14 congrats! @LinwoodFoy_3 still deciding SEC, ACC

** One offensive lineman to keep an eye on for 2017 is Michael Cone. At almost 6’5″ and 329lbs he not only has great size but is incredibly strong as well (600lb squat & 300lb power clean)… at the age of 16. Coach Galloway has recently reached out to the 3* offensive lineman who said “I would love to play for them (UofL)”. Cone has quite a few schools that are talking to him including Clemson, Georgia, Alabama,Auburn, Tennessee, and North Carolina among others.
** 3* Defensive back Kyriq McDonald visited Louisville today (4/22) and said of the visit “[I] had a really good time and love the facilities and staff.” McDonald indicated that while he does not have any current lists Louisville is a “top” school he’s be thinking about.
** Another 3* Defensive back, TreSean Smith visited Louisville for the spring game and came away very impressed “It was great!” Smith said, “I had a great time, got to sit down with Coach Heyward and talk to a lot of the commits as well.” So where does Louisville stand for the 6’3″ 180lb DB? “I would say Louisville is at the top” Smith also talked about what impresses him about UofL “The crowd, atmosphere and Coach Heyward mainly. Plus the defense looked good and like something I could get used to. ” With a veteran defensive backfield, open spots will be had in the near future and that does influence Smith “I want to go somewhere where I can come in early and make an impact.” While Smith is still taking visits and does not have a timeline for a decision, he will be one we are watching!
