ESPN’s Signature Pre-Game Show “College Game Day” is ‘Coming To Your City!’ for the 2nd consecutive year on Week 3. Last year the city of Louisville celebrated the life of Muhammad Ali during the first ever UofL edition of College Game Day prior to the Cardinals 43-point rout of the Florida State Seminoles.

This year the Cards will host Clemson, the defending national champions in a match-up at Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium. The Cards have lost all 3 of its contests vs. the Tigers…… by a total margin of 15 points. The Cards led by 8 with 7:52 to go in Death Valley last year in what was one of the highest rated primetime games in College Football over the last few seasons.

Clemson would go on to win the College Football National Championship and Louisville’s Lamar Jackson would go on to win the Heisman Trophy.

As details emerge about the location & fan activities of College Game Day TCZ will keep fans up to date.

ESPN’s College GameDay Built by the Home Depot is broadcasting from the University of Louisville for the second time in as many seasons on Saturday, showcasing a top-15 matchup between Louisville and defending national champion Clemson.

The Cardinals, currently ranked No. 17 in the latest Associated Press poll, welcome No. 3 Clemson for a 3:30 p.m. kick on Sept. 16 in Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium.

“To have ESPN College GameDay come to the University of Louisville for the second-straight season is a tribute to head coach Bobby Petrino, all of our players and where this football program has come through the years,” UofL Vice President and Director of Athletics Tom Jurich said. “The excitement the fans generated last year in that historic appearance is a tribute to their passion and loyalty to our football program. We are thrilled to have GameDay back on our campus to showcase our great university.”

Louisville welcomed college football’s longest-running and most-celebrated pregame show in 2016 to Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium, upsetting second-ranked Florida State 63-20. Lamar Jackson ran for four touchdowns and threw for one, while leading the Cardinals to their highest-ranked win in school history.

The team of Rece Davis, Lee Corso, Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard, and David Pollack, along with contributors Chris ‘The Bear’ Fallica, Jen Lada, Tom Rinaldi, Maria Taylor, and Gene Wojciechowski, will conduct the popular Saturday morning show from a location to be determined.

In its 31st season and 25th on the road, the award-winning College GameDay pregame show originates each Saturday from the site of the day’s best game or the game with the most compelling storylines.
