The University of Louisville women’s basketball team is poised to make its 20th NCAA Tournament appearance in school history after accumulating more than 20 wins for the seventh-consecutive season.

Fans are encouraged to join the program at The Sports and Social Club and watch the NCAA Selection Show, which starts at 7 p.m., on ESPN on Monday, March 13. Admission to the venue on 4th Street is free, and doors open at 6 p.m. A limited food menu is available.

Free parking is available at the 4th Street Live! garage (access from 5th Street). Reservations are highly recommended and must be made through Tobi Hammond ( Additional space is available upstairs at Tavern for standing room only, accompanied by a full-service bar.

Louisville has 19 tournament appearances all-time, six straight under head coach Jeff Walz. This year, the Cardinals put together a 27-7 mark, tied for the fourth-most victories in school history, including a 12-4 record in league play.

The Cardinals, who are in position to host the NCAA Tournament first and second rounds, have compiled a 16-2 mark at the KFC Yum! Center this year.
