The University of Louisville will face the Marquette Golden Eagles tonight inside the Barclay Center in Brooklyn. Marquette hung tough with a very talented Kansas team on Wednesday but fell 77-68. MU also suffered its only other loss on the end in Bloomington vs. Indiana and were blasted 96-73.
Marquette is lead by ball dominant point guard Markus Howard. It is interesting that guard Joseph Chartouny is not playing up to his typical level despite playing 20+ minutes per game, he was nearly a 15 ppg scorer last year and has only notched 4.4 ppg through 5 games thus far for the Golden Eagles. Marquette has elected to go BIG and it cost them against Indiana who pressed the pace. MU also does not create a lot of turnovers.
If Louisville can continue to score at the pace in which they have thus far in 2018-19 and they can DEFEND on the other end they should be able to pullout the victory despite being 6.5 point underdogs.
