Louisville Quarterback coach Frank Ponce has acceptable the Offensive Coordinator job at Appalachian State as first reported by Yahoo! Sports’ Pete Thamel. Ponce spent 2 years at Louisville as Quarterback coach under Scott Satterfield.

At Louisville threw for 2686 in 2020 and 3048 yards in 2019. The development for Malik Cunningham from his 2018 to the 2019 year was remarkable and the Cards also dealt with a variety of Quarterback health issues in 2019 and didn’t miss a beat. In 2020 though, the Cards were plagued with turnovers.

Ponce spent 6 years at App State with Satterfield prior to going to Louisville and will re-join former Satterfield assistant Shawn Clark as the current Mountaineers Head Coach.
