Louisville junior Jordan Nwora was named ACC Co-Player of the Week.  This is his second ACC Weekly honor after earning Rookie of the Week honors during the 2017-18 season.

ACC men’s basketball weekly honors are determined by a vote of a 15-member media panel and announced on Mondays throughout the regular season.

In a pair of victories this week, Nwora averaged 20.5 points, 9.0 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.5.  In the Cardinals’ 58-43 victory over No. 4/5 Michigan, Nwora totaled 22 points and 12 rebounds, his 11th career double-double and the sixth game scoring over 20 points this season.  Against Pittsburgh Nwora produced 19 points, six rebounds, two assists and two steals while making 7-of-12 shots from the field in Louisville’s first ACC home game of the season.

The preseason All-America selection leads the ACC and is 15th in the nation in scoring, averaging 21.6 points per game.  His 194 points scored this year is the most for a Louisville player through nine games over the last 20 years.

Nwora was also named the College Sports Madness National Player of the Week. College Sports Madness identifies the players who have had the greatest impact to their team from each conference and on a national basis each Monday.
