The University of Louisville Board of Trustees met on Monday evening and details are scarce about what they discussed.

The meeting was called to order amid speculation that Vince Tyra may be leaving for the Florida State Athletic Director position and one sticking point may be Tyra’s non compete clause which would prohibit him from taking another job within the ACC.

The session is closed while discussing personnel matters (and the Courier-Journal protested that this particular discussion did not meet the school’s own criteria for a closed session) but Tyra’s contract would prohibit him from working for another ACC school for 12 months following his termination of employment by the university.

Is Vince angling to have his non-compete waived? Will UofL waive the non-compete? Does Vince Tyra actually want to live in Tallahassee?

The meeting of the Board adjourned with no action taken. We were told they discussed pending/possible litigation and the media was given no other details or given the ability to ask questions.
