Practices for the 90th annual East-West Shrine Game are underway in St. Peterburg, FL’s Tropicana Field.  Saturday’s game will feature SIX Louisville Cardinals all of which will play on the EAST Roster coached by Mike Singletary.  Here is how each Cardinal measured when they reported over the weekend:

Jamon Brown 6’6, 328 lbs.
John Miller 6’3, 315 lbs.
Gerald Christian 6’3, 245 lbs.
Dominique Brown 6’2, 240 lbs.
BJ Dubose 6’5, 263 lbs.
Deiontrez Mount 6’5, 246 lbs.

The East-West Shrine Game will be broadcast at 4:00 p.m. Saturday 1/17 on the NFL Network.

Lorenzo Mauldin will play in the Senior Bowl on 1/24 with an official roster announcement coming on Friday. DeVante Parker elected to forego all invitations to All-Star games and is instead focusing on fully rehabilitating his foot and preparing for the NFL combine. Jake Smith elected to play in the Medal of Honor Bowl (he wore #54) this past Saturday on 1/10 in Charleston, South Carolina at the Citadel and has emerged as the #6 rated NFL prospect at the Center position despite playing all season at guard, the NFL.com story on the Medal of Honor Bowl listed Jake as a ‘notable prospect’.

Louisville does not have a player in the NFLPA Bowl this weekend. But keep a watch out for Eli Rogers, Terell Floyd & Michael Dyer in addition to the 3 early entrants out of the the Cardinal secondary (Charles Gaines, Gerod Holliman, and James Sample) who will also draw NFL interest.

In all, the Cardinals have 15 prospects with a legitimate opportunity this off-season to compete in NFL camps.
