Chicago Native and Louisville Cardinal Zach Burdi was selected #26 in the 1st round of the Major League Baseball Draft by his hometown Chicago White Sox.
Zach Burdi’s brother Nick, was selected by the Minnesota Twins with the 46th pick in the 2014 Draft.
Burdi is known for his 100+ arm is a semifinalist for the Stopper of the Year has a 2.20 ERA and 11 saves in 2016.
Corey Ray was selected with the #5 pick earlier in the draft, other Louisville Cardinals are expected to be selected tonight & in subsequent days of the Major League Baseball draft. We’ll keep you up to date with those selections as they happen.
