After returning from recruiting and following his father’s funeral Scott Satterfield met with Louisville Athletics Director Vince Tyra for their regular season wrap-up meeting. Tyra spoke with WDRB’s Eric Crawford following the meeting and reaffirmed his commitment to Satterfield for the 2022 season and beyond.

Satterfield in 2019 came to UofL and compiled a 8-5 record following a Music City Bowl win over Mississippi State and then had a disappointing season in a COVID 2020 season going just 4-7.

This year was the ‘woulda, coulda, shoulda, season’ for the Cards with several close losses that bogged the season down to a 6-6 record and left everyone in and around the program wondering what might have been if the Cards hadn’t dropped a punt vs. Wake Forest, if Wake Forest hadn’t gotten an extra second before halftime, if the Cards hadn’t blown a 17-point 4th quarter lead vs. Virginia and if UofL Football could have punched it from 1st & 2 vs. Clemson.

Scott Satterfield has gotten the ‘vote of confidence’ from his Athletic Director and will be the Louisville Football coach in 2022 and perhaps beyond?
