6’5″ UNC Asheville guard Dwayne Sutton has indicated his intent to transfer and is schedule to speak to David Padgett regarding the possibility of playing for Louisville. The Louisville native averaged 30.5 minutes, 12.0 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game his freshman season at UNC Asheville.
Where would Louisville rank as a possible transfer destination for Sutton? “Most likely number 1”.
4/7/2016 Update: I spoke with Dwayne Sutton who did confirm that Louisville has offered him a spot on the team next year. They did not know at this time if it would be scholarship or a preferred walk-on spot. He said that while he is keeping all his options opening he “grew up watching them” and that UofL is “one of the best programs”.
