With the 604th pick in the 20th round of the 2019 MLB Draft, the Pittsburgh Pirates have selected University of Louisville junior outfielder Jake Snider.
Throughout the season, he has proven himself to be one of the more athletic and versatile players on the roster. Regarded as one of the fastest players on the team, he is one of 5 players with double digit stolen bases and has the second highest fielding percentage on the team (.991) not including pitchers and catchers. Speed is not the only facet of his however, as he is second on the team in hits (70), second on the team in walks (31) and has the second-most amount of multi-hit games (22) on the roster.
