3* offensive lineman Cole Bentley announced his commitment today as the 7th member of the 2017 Louisville football recruiting class. The 6’4.5″ 308lb lineman from Lenore, WV said he chose the Cards because of how comfortable he felt there. “I feel right at home on campus” Bentley said, “[It’s] just a great game time atmosphere and the coaches know how to prepare players for the next level.”

What gives Coach Petrino and staff the advantage to be able to prepare players for the next level? “I feel like knowledge of the game, work ethic, and coach ability” Bentley said.

Bentley was recruited by Louisville’s coaches as an offensive guard and said that some areas he excels in are his hips, footwork, and a combination of size and athleticism.

As for his plans going forward, Bentley said he is only planning on taking an official visit to Louisville.

Evaluation:

Bentley has very good size for a college offensive lineman. To go along with his size, he moves extremely well as is seen when he pulls and engages defenders at the second level. Pair that with his ability to finish blocks and Coach Petrino and Coach Klenakis have to be excited for this commitment.
