The University of Louisville softball team has earned the No. 5 seed in the 2019 ACC Championship and will face fourth-seeded North Carolina Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at Florida State’s JoAnne Graf Field.

The winner of Thursday’s matchup will advance to Friday’s semifinal game at 1:00 p.m. to face either top-seeded Virginia Tech or the winner of Wednesday’s first-round contest between No. 8 NC State and No. 9 Syracuse.

The championship game will take place Saturday at 12 p.m.

The first three rounds will be broadcast on the league’s Regional Sports Networks, and ESPN will carry the championship game.

Daily tickets are available at $5 for adults, $8 for reserve seating and $3 for youths. Admission is free for fans under 2 years old. All-session tickets are $15 for adults, $25 for reserve seating and $10 for youths. Tickets can be purchased online here.

About Louisville
The Cardinals finished the regular season with a 33-20 overall record and a 12-12 mark in ACC play. Louisville is led offensively by redshirt senior Sidney Melton who carries a .343 batting average with a school-record 32 stolen bases while senior Megan Hensley paces the team with 11 home runs and 41 RBIs.

Louisville and North Carolina (33-17, 17-7 ACC) met during the regular season April 26-28 at Ulmer Stadium with the Tar Heels taking games one and two by scores of 6-0 and 10-7 respectively. The Cardinals won game three 6-1.

North Carolina leads the all-time series between the teams 8-7. The Cardinals and the Tar Heels have never met in the ACC tournament.
