Louisville Football under Scott Satterfield decreased its rushing yardage per game by 12.85 yards per game from 2019 to 2020. The Cards reduced their ppg by 3.6 ppg despite just a 3.1 total yard per game differential. The offense was basically the same as there was 10 yard per game increase passing the ball in 2020 and a 12 yard reduction running the ball.

Despite the reduction both years under Scott Satterfield have seen the Cards have a Top 30 rushing attack and average over 200 yards running the ball. Louisville has had teams rush for over 200 yards per game in 16 seasons since 1948 when modern records started being kept (1949, 1950, 1955, 1956, 1957, 1958, 1959, 1972, 1977, 1978, 2003, 2004, 2016, 2017, 2019 & 2020).

The fewest rushing yards for UofL in a single Louisville Football game is -78 (!) on September 19, 1992 at Arizona State. The Cards lost 0-19 to the Sun Devils that day.

The longest rush UofL Football history is 93 yards when Ken Porco ran for a touchdown on September 27, 1957 vs. Eastern Kentucky.
