Louisville Football under Scott Satterfield increased its passing yardage per game by nearly 10 ypg (9.7 ypg) from 2019 to 2020. Still the Cards reduced their ppg by 3.6 ppg despite just a 3.1 total yard per game differential and a 10 yard per game increase passing the ball in 2020.

Louisville’s 1998 season remains the highest output in Cardinal Football history passing the ball with 374.83 yards per game with Chris Redman at Quarterback and John L. Smith coaching UofL. Louisville in 2013, 2007, 1999 are the only other 300+ yard per game seasons. 18 college football programs (6 P5) went over 500+ yard per game in 2020 (surprisingly never with Petrino as HC).
