Coming off a heartbreaking loss at Notre Dame, the Louisville Cardinals closed out their week with a 62-52 win at Boston College. 

Hailey Van Lith led the team in scoring today with 17 points, while Merissah Russell and Liz Dixon were also in double-digit scoring with 13 points each. With 12 minutes left to play Boston College was leading Louisville 42-34, but the Cards were able to outscore the Eagles 28-10 to secure their 20th win of the season. Louisville also heavily outrebounded Boston College 52-39, led by Liz Dixon who had 12 and Mykasa Robinson who had 9. Robinson led the team in assists today with 8 of the team’s 18. 

The Louisville defense held Boston College to 32.8% shooting and tallied 8 steals and 3 blocks. The Eagles had six players with points on the board, but only one of those six was in double-digits. 

The Cards are now 20-9 on the season and 11-5 in the ACC putting them in 5th place in conference. 

Louisville will be at home in the Yum! Center for their last two games of the regular season. They’ll host Miami on Thursday at 6pm before welcoming Notre Dame on Sunday for senior day.
