One of the top priorities in the upcoming recruiting class is to continue to strengthen the offensive line and infuse it with talent. One such linemen at the top of the recruiting boards for Louisville is Billy Ross from Huntington, West Virginia. Ross currently holds offers from schools such as WVU, Florida State, Miami, Michigan, Oklahoma, South Carolina, and Tennessee, among others. When asked what interested him about Louisville specifically, Ross said “Coaches, facilities, atmosphere, and location”.

The versatile offensive lineman, who could play either tackle or guard in college, said that his current recruitment was still wide open and that 8 or 9 schools keep in touch with him every day, Louisville being one. So what have the Louisville coaches been telling Ross? “They said their biggest weakness is the offensive line, so I could really help them.”

When asked to describe his game, the 6’5″ 310lb lineman said “Coaches tell me I’m physical and play fast…it’s fun for me to get up there and just do stuff that I can’t do off a football field. Play mean and nasty.” With the size, ability, and mentality Ross has, it is easy to see how he would fit into the Bobby Petrino offense.

At this time Ross does not have a timetable for a decision but we will keep you informed as any new developments unfold. Follow me on twitter @cpersonTCZ for all the latest updates and recruiting information.
