This morning On3sports reported that junior guard Hailey Van Lith has entered her name into the transfer portal.
A beloved Cardinal, Hailey averaged 15.4 points through her three years on the team and was a 1000 point scorer. She started in 37 games her junior year and led the team in scoring this season. She was second in assists and steals, and third in rebounding. She stacked up numerous accolades including AP Honorable Mention All-American, ACC First Team All-Tournament, Drysdale Award Finalist, amongst many, many others.
With no incoming freshmen and the loss of the majority of the roster, Coach Walz has a lot of roles to fill. One thing I know for sure is that I trust and believe in Coach Walz to build a team we can all believe in. We’ll just have to wait and see what happens next.
