Damion Lee, who was a graduate transfer guard for one year at the University of Louisville last season, will play for the Miami Heat’s 2016 NBA Summer League team, which begins play on July 2 in Orlando.
A second team All-ACC selection, Lee led the Cardinals in scoring, averaging 15.9 points and 1.5 steals (fifth in the ACC) while shooting 84.3 percent from the free throw line (fifth in the ACC). Lee scored in double figures in 26 of 30 games last season and was the Cardinals’ top scorer in 16 games.
From Baltimore, Md., Lee buried 257 three-pointers in his collegiate career at Drexel and Louisville, including a team-high 61 threes in his only season with the Cardinals. The graduate transfer scored a combined 2,016 career points at the two schools.
