Jeff Brohm has landed a veteran transfer quarterback for the 2024 season. Former Oregon Duck and Texas Tech Red Raider Tyler Shough (6’5, 230) committed to Louisville after a visit to UofL.
Shough (pronounced SHUCK) originally from Chandler, AZ has had bad luck with injuries during his career. Tyler was Justin Herbert’s back-up at Oregon in 2019 and was the starter for the 2020 PAC-12 Championship season for the Ducks.
In 2021 Shough transferred to Texas Tech and started the 1st four games of the year before breaking his collarbone vs. Texas.
In 2022 Tyler suffered a shoulder injury but was able to start the Red Raiders final 5 games going 4-1 with the only loss to national-runner up TCU in his first start back.
This year (2023) a broken left fibula vs. West Virginia cut his season short during the 4th game of the year.
In his career Shough has won games over Kansas, Iowa State, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Houston, Stanford, Washington state, UCLA and USC among others.
2024 will be Shough’s 7th year of college football after injuries and COVID waivers. Shough was the #10 rated QB in the portal this cycle so far and was a 4-star in HS.
