Pitino Book Signing on Oct. 3

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — University of Louisville men’s basketball coach Rick Pitino will sign copies of his new book “The One-Day Contract” on Thursday, Oct. 3 from 7-8:30 p.m. at Molly Malone’s Irish Pub and Restaurant, located at 3900 Shelbyville Rd.
Pitino will only sign copies of the new book at the event, which is Pitino’s first book signing in Louisville. Released on Oct. 1, The One-Day Contract: How to Add Value to Every Minute of Your Life takes the reader full-circle to being the most creative and successful person and professional one can be. It draws on examples from coaching as well as off the court in everyday life.
Pitino’s current team began practicing for the 2013-14 season last Saturday and will have their first public instrasquad scrimmage on Saturday, Oct. 5 at 4 p.m. Tickets are currently on sale for the scrimmage and two others on Oct. 12 at 3:30 p.m., and the Mark’s Feed Store Red-White Scrimmage on Oct. 19 at 1 p.m. Tickets, priced at $10 for lower side and corner arena seats and $5 for end zone and upper arena seats, are on sale at the UofL Ticket Office or visiting Ticketmaster online, calling 1-800-745-3000 or by visiting any Ticketmaster Ticket Center, including statewide Kroger locations. Convenience fees are applied with Ticketmaster orders.
Louisville Men’s Basketball Single Game Tickets on Sale Oct. 1
Single game tickets for six home games will be offered
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — University of Louisville men’s basketball single-game tickets for six home games in the KFC Yum! Center will be available beginning Tuesday, Oct. 1 at 10 a.m.
Tickets, which are $39 each, will be available for the following games: Oct. 29 exhibition vs. Kentucky Wesleyan, Nov. 6 exhibition vs. Pikeville,Nov. 9 vs. College of Charleston, Nov. 15 vs. Cornell, Nov. 29 vs. Southern Mississippi and Dec. 7 vs. Louisiana Lafayette. The Cardinals’ 2013 NCAA Championship banner will be unveiled at the home opener against College of Charleston.
Tickets, which are located in the upper corners and end court areas of the KFC Yum! Center, will be on sale at the UofL Ticket Office, located near Gate 2 of Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium at 2800 South Floyd Street. The ticket office is open weekdays from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.
Cardinal fans may also purchase tickets by visiting Ticketmaster online, calling 1-800-745-3000 or by visiting any Ticketmaster Ticket Center, including statewide Kroger locations. Convenience fees are applied with Ticketmaster orders.
Flexible mini-plans for groups of six or eight games are also currently on sale. Those tickets may be purchased through “My Cardinal Account” at this link: https://oss.ticketmaster.com/

The Cardinals will have three intrasquad scrimmages and a pair of exhibition games leading up to its season opener against College of Charleston on Nov. 9. UofL will welcome back three starters and eight lettermen from its successful 2012-13 squad which won the NCAA Championship while winning a school-record 35 games (35-5 mark), ending the season on a 16-game win streak.
