Louisville football hosted 2017 Offensive Lineman target from Pittsburgh, PA, Gabe Houy, on Friday. Houy, a 6’6″, 270lb prospect said he had a “great” visit noting “I liked seeing the coaches in action. The complex is really nice but I can’t wait to see them after renovations.” As a side note, Houy also found time to visit a great local restaurant saying that Impellizzeri’s wings and pizza were “fantastic”.

Evident by his ability to play both basketball and football, the athletic prospect said he would be able to play “multiple spots on the line with my size and athletic ability”. When asked what in particular he liked about the coaches Houy singled out Coach Klenakis saying “I like the way Coach K teaches. He is energetic, yet constructive.” While Gabe Houy is still early in the decision making process he did note that Louisville was “pretty high up” his list.

What is next for Houy? He is still in the process of visiting schools but noted that Louisville “always keep in contact with me and invited me down for summer camps and games next season.” With the history of Bobby Petrino and developing athletic offensive lineman, Houy is definitely a top target at a position of need for Louisville.
