The Graduate Transfer experiment with the “L & L” boys is going so well, Rick Pitino wants to try it again. This time with former Penn guard Tony Hicks. Hicks is a 6’2 guard who will graduate from the southernmost Ivy League school this Spring. Hicks attended Louisville’s match-up against Wake Forest on Sunday evening.
The news was 1st reported by Mike Rutherford at Card Chronicle.
Tony has scored 1060 points during his collegiate career and is a career 40.4% career shooter and shot 37.1% from beyond the arc during the 2014-15 season and was a captain for the Quakers.
Hicks announced just before the beginning of the 2015-16 season that he was sitting out the season and was seeking a transfer destination. Penn changed coaches from Jerome Allen to Steve Donahue after the 2014-15 slate.
The Cards apparently had a leg up with Hicks as he and Damion Lee were friends from their time in Philadelphia (Drexel & Penn are both in the “City of Brotherly Love”).
