Contract details are now known for former Louisville Cornerback William Gay who re-signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Steelers have rewarded Gay with a 3-year $7.5 Million contract. As part of the deal Will received a $1.9 Million signing bonus which is fully guaranteed and will play for a salary of $1.85M in 2016.
The 31-year Gay will be entering his 10th season in the NFL and 2016 will be the 9th season with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Gay’s previous contract with the Steelers was 3-years and $4.5M with just a $500,000 signing bonus. The Steeler’s most recent investment into Gay is a significant improvement in compensation for the former Louisville Cardinal and long-time Steeler.
