With road construction on Floyd Street near the University of Louisville campus, some traffic patterns will be adjusted into parking areas surrounding Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium for Friday’s 7 p.m. Red-White football spring game.
Fans should consider the following travel tips to avoid construction and travel delays, avoiding Floyd Street north of the stadium.
Those traveling south bound on Interstate 65 are asked to use the Crittenden Drive exit and turn right onto Central Avenue toward the stadium. Fans traveling north on I-65 are encouraged to exit at Eastern Parkway, continue onto Hahn Street and proceed to Floyd Street.
Anyone attending the game traveling east or west bound on I-264, should exit onto Crittenden Drive and then proceed to Park Blvd or Central Avenue. If approaching the stadium from the west side, please use Central Avenue to access the stadium parking lots.
Fans approaching campus from the Arthur Street exit and Warnock Street from I-65 will be re-routed to Eastern Parkway and then to Hahn Street.
Kickoff for the Red-White Game is slated for 7 p.m. on Friday evening, with gates opening at 5:30 p.m. Admission is free and a 45-minute autograph session will follow the game.
