Louisville officially added the signature of Tight End/H-Back Dez Melton out of Glendale, AZ (Deer Valley HS) on National Signing Day. Melton stands 6’4, 210 lbs and was difficult for recruiting services to classify because he could play a number of different positions. Scott Satterfield and staff will use Melton as a hybrid tight end who sometimes may contribute out of the backfield as well.
Melton chose Louisville over offers from Iowa State, Arizona, Arizona State and Nebraska.
“What I hope to bring are excitement, some passion, and show what a Cardinal can be like.”
