Louisville and Kentucky will square off at Kroger Field on Saturday for the Bourbon Bowl (or the Governor’s Cup if you’d like to remain corny). The Cards and Cats are two very different teams. Louisville is a big play offense that can hit on big plays on the ground or through the air with a defense that can give up big yardage. Kentucky on the other hand is a team with a solid defense (very much limiting big plays) who is almost entirely one-dimensional with the running (and converted WR) Quarterback Lynn Bowden.
No one expected the Cards to be playing for win #8 as the final regular season game. Kentucky reached bowl eligibility last week with a win over UT-Martin.

The metrics might make our heads spin, but really there is nothing to go on. Louisville hasn’t seen a team setup like Kentucky yet in 2019…. and Kentucky frankly hasn’t seen an offense like the Cards.
