Louisville will head to Boston College for a late night 9:00 p.m. tip off. UofL beat BC in mid-January 80-70 behind Jordan Nwora’s 32 points and 10 rebounds. The Eagles haven’t fared well in ACC play with a 13-13 overall record and 4-10 in the league. The Eagles are in a fight for 10th place in the league, and actually did beat the Florida State Seminoles for BC’s lone ranked win on the season.
Meanwhile the Cards are sliding after a brief stint tied for 1st place in the ACC Louisville now sits at 7th place in the league. UofL finds itself searching for a way out of its recent slide where the Cards have just two wins in the last seven games.
Statistically Louisville is just a better ball club than Boston College. The Cards score more, outscore their opponents more, shoot better from the field, from 3, and from the FT line. Louisville is also a better rebounding team and better defensively in nearly every category we measure. This game should be a WIN for Louisville, but the one thing we can measure is UofL Basketball’s psyche given its recent results on the court. If Louisville plays Louisville Basketball Wednesday night in Boston they’ll come home with win #19 on the season. If they play like a team still affected by its past they’ll continue their current tumble.
