The Cardinals secured a victory in the ACC win column at Lynn Stadium Friday night vs the #17 ranked Virginia Tech Hokies 2-1 and moved to 3-1-2 on the season.

VT had the 1-0 lead at halftime, out-shooting the Cards 6-5 and registering a goal in the 36′ minute. It was a tale of two halves, though. Louisville out-shot the Hokies 10-3, equalizing the match in the 81st minute and the game winner in the 84th minute, both by senior midfielder, Cherif Deiye. His performance earning him the conference offensive honors.

It is the first multi-goal game of his career and he lead the team with five shots vs Virginia Tech. Five other Cards each had a shot on goal in the match.
