LOUISVILLE, Ky. — University of Louisville men’s basketball coach Rick Pitino will sign 400 commemorative bottles of a premium brand featuring his image on Sunday, July 14 at 4 p.m. at a ticketed event at Molly Malone’s Irish Pub and Restaurant, located at 3900 Shelbyville Road in Louisville.

Pitino will sign the special commemorative bottles of Maker’s Mark®, a handmade bourbon produced in Loretto, Ky., which depict Pitino’s image, his upcoming induction to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame and UofL’s 2013 men’s basketball national championship.

Tickets may be picked up in advance at no charge with the purchase of food or drink during this week at the Molly Malone’s location at 3900 Shelbyville Road, beginning after 5 p.m. on Monday, July 8.  Each of the 400 tickets will allow the bearer to have one bottle signed on Sunday and only the 2013 commemorative bottles will be signed.  Pitino is receiving no fee for the signing and there is no charge for the ticket.

Proceeds from the sales of the bottles, which were sold in retail stores on June 7, will go toward the UofL Academic Center of Excellence, an $8 million, state-of-the-art facility that will be built on the Cardinals’ campus.  Pitino signed 700 bottles at a June 13 event.

The commemorative bottles will not be signed at the UofL basketball offices. Please do not attempt to bring a bottle to campus to be signed.  Maker’s Mark® is a registered trademark of Maker’s Mark Distillery, Inc.
