The Cardinals will be tipping off at the US Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, to face off on the court against the reigning National Champions, UConn Huskies, in the 2025 Peraton Armed Forces Classic.
A matchup that was originally scheduled to be played at Ramstein Air Base in Germany, but was ultimately moved to the U.S. due to the government shutdown.
This will be the 24th meeting between the Cards and Huskies, with Louisville having a 3-20 record. Last season, the Cardinals lost to the Huskies 85-52 in the Women’s Champions Classic.
The Cards graduated both Jayda Curry and Olivia Cochran, who led the team in four out of five stat lines: points, rebounds, assists, and blocks. Tajianna Roberts led the other stat line of steals.
Last week, sophomore Tajianna Roberts was named to the Ann Meyers Drysdale Award Watch List and joined by senior transfer Lauren Ziegler on the Naismith Trophy Player of the Year Watch List. Ziegler was also named to the Lisa Leslie Award Watch List. Another transfer, junior Skylar Jones, was named to the Cheryl Miller Award Watch List.
The game will be broadcast on ESPN at 5:30 p.m.
