The takeover begins on Saturday morning at 12 a.m.

The ACC Network is airing takeovers for member institutions in the conference, and beginning 12 a.m. ET Saturday, the network will show recent University of Louisville sporting events and an All-Access special with the UofL football program. 
 
The Cardinals’ 12-part takeover will kick off at 12 a.m. ET Saturday with the 2016 Louisville-Florida State football game at Cardinal Stadium. With College GameDay in town for the first time in school history, Heisman Trophy winner Lamar Jackson ran for four touchdowns and threw for another as No. 10 Louisville poured it on in a 63-20 victory over No. 2 Florida State in what was billed as an ACC showdown game.

An All-Access special on the football program that featured numerous interviews and an inside view of the team’s daily activities airs at 5 p.m., and will be followed by the Cardinals’ classic 62-59 road win over No. 17 Wake Forest – the first win over a ranked opponent on the road since 2011.

The men’s soccer program will be featured multiple times during the showdown. At 3 a.m., the network will feature the Cardinals’ thrilling 1-0 win over second-ranked Georgetown when Kino Ryosuke’s header with 4:16 left in the second overtime period lifted the Cardinals to a 1-0 victory at Dr. Mark & Cindy Lynn Stadium. Louisville’s 1-0 win over No. 4 North Carolina in the 2018 ACC Tournament championship match will air at 3 p.m., with the Cardinals claiming their first ACC title.

Head coach Jeff Walz’s women’s basketball team takes the stage at 5:30 a.m. with the showing of UofL’s road win at NC State. Jazmine Jones scored 19 points and No. 9 Louisville defeated the fourth-ranked Wolfpack 66-59 in a matchup of the Atlantic Coast Conference’s top two teams. Louisville’s first ACC championship title – a 74-72 win over No. 5 Notre Dame in 2018 – will re-air at 1 p.m.

Three men’s basketball performances will take over the network, beginning with Louisville’s win over Virginia. Behind 22 points from Jordan Nwora, the Cardinals won their 10th straight game in prevailing 80-73 against the defending national champions  Louisville shot 51 percent from the field against the nation’s leader in field goal percentage defense.  The network will also showcase the 2013 BIG EAST tournament title at 8 a.m. Peyton Siva scored 11 points and handed out four assists as the Cardinals won their second consecutive title with a 78-61 win over Syracuse. The last basketball game will at aired at 11:30 a.m. The Cardinals pulled off their fifth win over a top three team on the road with a 79-73 victory at No. 3 Duke, marking the 250th career coaching victory for UofL’s Chris Mack. 

The UofL volleyball team’s comeback victory at Notre Dame will be shown at 10 a.m. After dropping the first two sets, the Cardinals fought back to win the next three sets to remain undefeated in the league and improve to 14-3 overall.

Louisville’s takeover will wrap up at 9 p.m. with Louisville’s most exciting bowl win – a 33-23 win over fourth-ranked Florida in the 2013 Sugar Bowl. Teddy Bridgewater, who was named the game’s Most Valuable Player, threw for 266 yards and two touchdowns in the school’s biggest postseason win.
