Remaining Schedules:
Alabama: Chattanooga, Auburn
Ohio St.: @ Michigan St., Michigan
Michigan: Indiana, @ Ohio St.
Clemson: @ Wake Forest, South Carolina
Louisville: @ Houston, Kentucky
Washington: Arizona St., @ Washington St.
Wisconsin: @ Purdue, Minnesota
Initial Thoughts:
Michigan being #3 is 100% pure garbage. They lost to IOWA. Not a top 5 powerhouse team. Nope, the #39 team as rated by S&P+. Did I mention they have had 8 home games? Regardless, Louisville is in the same position whether they are #3, #4, or #5. Ohio St. or Michigan will be knocked out putting Louisville in a position to take the #4 spot if they finish strong. I don’t buy into the hype of a 2 loss B1G champion stealing that final spot, even though quite a few think that is a lock. 2 losses, fairly week schedule, not that impressive of a team= not playoff worthy. I also think Washington will lose 1 more game before it’s all said and done, thus eliminating them from a playoff spot.
Moral of the story? Louisville needs to win out, do so convincingly, and given the likelihood of additional chaos and overall resume, I think Louisville can and will still get in.
