The University of Louisville football program closed its 2018 National Signing Day, with one of its best classes in program history, highlighted by signing 22 student-athletes.

The Cardinals received commitments from 10 four-star recruits in the class and have the highest-rated class in school history, according to ESPN rankings.

The Cardinals added 19 players during the early signing period in December and inked three additional recruits on Wednesday.

Of the 21 players in the class, eight are already enrolled at Louisville, including linebacker Robert Hicks, the No. 4 rated inside linebacker and the highest overall prospect in the class. An Under Armour All-American, the Miami, Fla., native led Central High to a state title this season.
