University of Louisville RHP Kyle Funkhouser was selected #35 on Monday evening by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 2015 Major League Baseball Draft.
Funkhouser registered two consecutive 100+ strikeout seasons for the Cards and has been the Louisville Friday night starter for UofL over the past two seasons. Kyle was 1st Team ALL-ACC in 2015, 3rd Team Louisville Slugger All-American, and holds numerous other honors and distinctions.
Being the #35 overall selection in the 2015 slots Kyle Funkhouser in the $1,756,100 slot to begin negotiations with the Dodgers organization. Kyle can elect to accept what the Dodgers offer or may return to college for his senior season. It is expected that Funkhouser will join the Dodgers organization.
