Louisville Football secured its 12th commitment of the 2016 recruiting class on Monday evening when Running Back Malik Staples from Peachtree Ridge HS in Suwanee, GA made his pledge to the Cards.
Staples is a 3-star prospect according to all 3 major scouting services and fits the mold of the Big Running Back that Bobby Petrino likes to utilize in his system.
Malik chose the Cards over offers from Boston College, Georgia Tech, Iowa, Oregon State, and Wake Forest. Malik Staples joins Dwayne Wallace, Tylin Oden, Taylor Yamanhoa, Seth Dawkins, Desmond Fitzpatrick, Baylen Buchanan, Rodjay Burns, Robbie Bell, Derek Dorsey, Austin Cummins, and Austin Johnson in the 2016 signing class this February.
