The University of Louisville Football program secured its 23rd commitment of the 2016 signing class on Tuesday afternoon when 6’5, 250 lbs Defensive End Kordell Slater pledged to the Cards. Slater, who announced his intentions on Twitter, is from Port Charlotte HS in Port Charlotte, FL.
Kordell is a 3-star on 247Sports & Rivals, but is a 2-star on Scout.com. Slater was recruited by L.D. Scott and Todd Grantham and chose UofL over Indiana, Iowa State, and Virginia.
Kordell Slater joins P.J. Blue, Chris Williams, Ronald Walker, James DeMatto, Jaquelle Green, Lamarques Thomas, Caleb Tillman, Tabarius Peterson, Keion Wakefield, Mike Boykin, Jawon Pass, Malik Staples, Taylor Yamanhoa, Seth Dawkins, Baylen Buchanan, Rodjay Burns, Robbie Bell, Derek Dorsey, Austin Cummins, Tylin Oden and Austin Johnson in the 2016 signing class this February.
