Louisville Tight End Cole Hikutini has signed his contract with the San Francisco 49ers. Hikutini’s deal with the 49ers is for 3-years, $1,675,000, of which $10,000 is a signing bonus. Cole is guaranteed to earn $20,000. Cole will earn an average salary of $558,333 throughout his contract and will earn $468,333 as a rookie with the 49ers with $90,000 raises each year of the contract. Hikutini will be a restricted free agent in 2020.
Cole will have to earn a spot on the active roster in order to earn this contract, like every NFL player. Hikutini was undrafted in the 2017 Draft and was quickly picked up by San Francisco at the conclusion of the draft. Cole had 50 catches for 668 yards and 8 Touchdowns for Louisville in 2016. Hikutini is native of Sacramento, California.
