There were a lot of rumors following Louisville vs. Puerto Rico last night regarding Chinanu Onuaku and the handshake line. In the video below you can see Onuaku and J.J. Barea have a small altercation after the game of which appeared to be inflamed a little bit after. J.J. Barea has a reputation for getting under the skin of players and in this game it was during a game in which he didn’t play. We also heard some rumors about PR not taking the floor tonight if Chinanu wasn’t disciplined by missing a game.
Conversely Coach Pitino will observe both teams. Pitino playing Switzerland doesn’t appear to be related but we could hear more during the broadcast when Coach Pitino joins Paul Rogers and Jody Demling courtside.
The Cards also scrapped their game vs. the Junior National team earlier today. Louisville is 0-4 so far in Puerto Rico. Tipoff is at 8:00.
