Yesterday, we reported that Cecil Stallings had committed to UofL in a story HERE. Today, we have learned more information regarding his recruitment and what the current situation is regarding the Georgia defensive lineman.
Stallings did confirm to me this morning that he is committed to UofL as a “blue shirt” (THIS is a good article from ESPN to help clarify what a blue shirt is)
Despite scholarship offers from major football programs such as Mississippi State, Miami, South Carolina, Tennessee etc. Stallings said the reason he chose Louisville was “I just felt that was the place for me and God wanted me to go there”. He went on to say that Coach Grantham had been in contact with him and he specified “the fans” as the most appealing factor for choosing Louisville.
We will continue to keep you updated on any news regarding his recruitment.
