The pairings and schedule for the 2017 Atlantic Coast Conference Baseball Championship were released Sunday morning and the No. 1 seeded Louisville baseball team will begin its pool-play schedule on Thursday night under the lights at Louisville Slugger Field.

The Cardinals (46-9, 23-6 ACC) will face No. 12 seed Notre Dame (26-30, 10-20) in Pool A action on Thursday at 7 p.m., ET before concluding their preliminary schedule against No. 8 Florida State (35-20, 14-14) on Friday at 3 p.m. The Seminoles and Fighting Irish will kick off the Pool A schedule on Wednesday at 11 a.m.

The ACC Baseball Championship will feature a pool-play format, leading into a four-team, single-elimination bracket to determine the league champion. Each team in the four pools will play one game against each of the other two opponents in its pool Tuesday through Friday (May 23-26). The four teams with the best records within their respective pools will advance to Saturday’s semifinals, with the winners playing on Sunday in the ACC Championship Game.

Pool B features No. 2 North Carolina (44-11, 23-7), along with No. 7 NC State (33-22, 16-14) and No. 11 Boston College (25-26, 11-19). No. 3 Wake Forest (38-17, 19-11) is joined in Pool C by No. 6 Miami (29-26, 16-13) and No. 10 Georgia Tech (27-26, 11-19), while Pool D features No. 4 Virginia (41-13, 18-12), No. 5 Clemson (39-17, 17-13), and No. 9 Duke (28-27, 12-18).

The tournament will get underway Tuesday with No. 10 Georgia Tech vs. No. 6 Miami at 11 a.m., followed by No. 11 Boston College vs. No. 7 NC State at 3 p.m., and No. 9 Duke vs. No. 5 Clemson at 7 p.m. After FSU and Notre Dame begin Wednesday’s schedule, they will be followed by No. 2 North Carolina vs. No. 11 Boston College at 3 p.m., and No. 3 Wake Forest vs. No. 10 Georgia Tech at 7 p.m.

No. 4 Virginia and No. 9 Duke face off on Thursday at 11 a.m., followed by No. 6 Miami vs. No. 3 Wake Forest at 3 p.m. and No. 1 Louisville and No. 12 Notre Dame at 7 p.m. The final day of pool play is led off by No. 5 Clemson and No. 4 Virginia at 11 a.m., followed by No. 8 Florida State vs. No. 1 Louisville at 3 p.m., and No. 7 NC State vs. No. 2 North Carolina at 7 p.m.

The four pool winners will play on Saturday at 1 p.m. (Pool A vs. Pool D) and 5 p.m., (Pool B vs. Pool C) with the winners advancing to the ACC Championship game on Sunday at noon. Tickets are available by calling (855) 228-8497 or visiting http://theacc.co/base17tix.

The ACC Baseball Championship FanFest will be held at the Hall of Fame Pavilion inside Louisville Slugger Field beginning at 5 p.m. on Friday, May 26, 12 p.m. on Saturday, May 27 and 10 a.m. on Sunday, May 28. Open to the public, the event will include a special ACC Baseball exhibit from the Louisville Slugger Museum, face painting, bourbon tasting, a photo booth, inflatables, merchandise for sale and more attractions for fans of all ages.
