Former Louisville Quarterback & Heisman Trophy winner Lamar Jackson was placed on the franchise tag (non-exclusive) by the Baltimore Ravens. The tag carries a $32.41M salary for 2023.

Lamar now may negotiate with other teams with the Ravens having the right to match any offer. If the Ravens refuse, they will get two 1st round picks from the team that does secure a long-term deal with Lamar.

Raven’s GM Eric DeCosta said in a release that the Ravens will continue to seek a long-term deal as well.

Lamar was drafted by the Ravens with the 32nd selection in the 2018 NFL Draft. He was the 2019 NFL MVP.
