University of Louisville men’s basketball is slated to play in a multi-team event (MTE) in November as part of its non-conference schedule. The Cardinals will face regional foe Cincinnati in The Hoops Classic in partnership with CareSource at Heritage Bank Center on Friday, November 21 to begin the MTE.
“Adding a neutral site game against Cincinnati was just another great piece in our scheduling puzzle,” said head coach Pat Kelsey. “There is great history between our two programs as we were rivals for many years. I sense the fan bases on both sides are excited. I grew up going to the Riverfront Coliseum which is now Heritage Bank Arena. In fact, it was the first place that I saw Coach Crum’s Louisville Cardinals play live – I’m excited to coach the 2025-26 edition of the Cards in the same venue.”
UofL men’s basketball season ticket members will receive access to a presale for the Cincinnati game via email. Tickets will go on sale to the public on Ticketmaster.com on August 28.
Louisville will also play Eastern Michigan on Monday, November 24, and NJIT on Wednesday, Nov. 26 at home in the KFC Yum! Center as part of the MTE. The two games on Denny Crum Court will be part of the Cardinals’ season ticket member package.
The Cardinals lead the all-time series against the Bearcats 58-44 with the longtime rivalry dating all the way back to 1921. Louisville is 3-4 against Cincinnati in neutral site games, the most recent being played in 2022 in the Maui Jim Invitational.
Louisville is 1-0 against Eastern Michigan defeating the Eagles 86-53 at home on Dec. 12, 2015 in the programs’ lone meeting. The Cardinals have never faced NJIT.
