The University of Louisville has not fared well in the ACC Tournament since its first appearance in 2015. The Cards are just 2-4 in the Tournament and have yet to advance past the ACC Quarterfinals losing there 4 times.

The Cards’ best seed ever was last year when Louisville earned the #3 seed for the 2020 season, but regrettably the college basketball season was cancelled on March 12th before Louisville could play in the Quarterfinals vs. Syracuse.

-In 2015, Louisville burst out to a 10-point 1st half lead and lost to North Carolina by 10 in the Top 20 matchup in the Greensboro Coliseum.

– Louisville did not appear in the 2016 ACC Tournament in Washington, D.C. following a self-imposed ban in the wake of the Katina Powell/Andre McGee investigation.

– In 2017, it was a back & forth Top 15 matchup between the Blue Devils and Cards. UofL led by 12 points with 13 minutes remaining in the 2nd half and fell to Duke by 4.

– The 2018 Tournament saw Louisville notch its 1st ever ACC Tournament win when David Padgett took down the Florida State Seminoles in the ACC Tournament’s 2nd Round. UofL did not fare so well in the Quarterfinals against #1 seed Virginia (and eventual #1 seed in the NCAA Tournament) and lost 75-58.

– Chris Mack made his ACC Tournament debut in 2019 and got on board with a 75-53 win over Notre Dame for the Cards’ 2nd ever ACC Tournament win. Louisville once again lost in the Quarterfinals to North Carolina. The Cards did lead very early but trailed for the majority of the game

-The 2020 Tournament was of course cancelled, but in 2021 the Cards played only one game. Both Louisville & Duke could not score. Duke ‘switched the screens’ and Chris Mack was unable to adjust to the perplexing phenomenon while Duke’s Mark Williams’ torched the Cards inside.
