The Road to Omaha and the College World Series will go through Jim Patterson Stadium for the fourth consecutive season as the No. 7 national seed Louisville baseball team will open its 2017 NCAA Super Regional against Kentucky on Friday at noon ET.

Friday’s Louisville Super Regional opener between the Cardinals (50-10) and Wildcats (43-21) will be televised on ESPN2, while game two of the best-of-three series is set for Saturday at noon on ESPN. If necessary, the deciding third game is scheduled for Sunday at noon on either ESPN or ESPN2. The victorious team at the Louisville Super Regional will advance to the College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska.

All-session tickets for the Louisville Super Regional are on sale and can be purchased online at GoCards.com or through the Louisville Cardinals Ticket Office. All-session tickets for the Super Regional are $25 for general admission and outfield berm seating and $15 for college students.

Single-session tickets will go on sale Thursday at 9 a.m., ET. Tickets may be purchased online here or at the Louisville Cardinals Ticket Office located at Gate 2 of Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium. Remaining tickets will also be available at the Jim Patterson Stadium ticket windows beginning at 9 a.m., on Friday. Single-session tickets for the Super Regional are $20 for reserved chairback seats, $10 for general admission and outfield berm and $5 for college students.

The Cardinals clinched their fifth consecutive NCAA Super Regional berth overall, the nation’s longest active streak, by winning the Louisville Regional last weekend. Extending the longest active NCAA Regional winning streak in the country to 15 games, Louisville swept through the double elimination Regional with an 11-6 win over Radford, an 11-1 victory over Oklahoma and an 8-7 triumph against Xavier.

The Wildcats earned their first ever NCAA Super Regional berth by winning the Lexington Regional with Monday night’s 10-5 win over NC State. Kentucky defeated Ohio in the opening game of the weekend before falling to the Wolfpack on Saturday night. UK closed the NCAA Regional with three straight wins defeating Indiana on Sunday afternoon and knocking off NC State on Sunday night to setup the Monday night finale. The Wildcats earned a second-place finish in the SEC East with a 19-11 conference record.

With Sunday’s Regional clinching win, the Cardinals locked up their seventh NCAA Super Regional berth and fifth 50-win season in the last 11 years. Louisville also improved to 32-4 at Jim Patterson Stadium this season and 25-8 all-time in NCAA postseason games at the corner of Third and Central.
