** This was an absolutely incredible win for the Louisville football program as a whole. There was one point in the 3rd quarter where I thought that the Louisville/Charlotte 56 point margin of victory was achievable. To even consider this, there are no words to accurately describe.

** Normally I have positives and negatives that I try to pick apart after the game but there are no negatives only positives so let’s begin.

** Lamar Jackson was amazing, Brandon Radcliff played one hell of a game. But let’s give credit to the offensive line. That offensive line absolutely dominated the Florida St. defensive line. This was the best I have seen a Louisville offensive line play in well, as long as I can remember. The holes they were able to open up and the time they were able to give Jackson were phenomenal.

** Louisville’s defense had an absolutely amazing game. The front 7 played fast and physical and the secondary ran with FSU’s wide receivers step for step. I don’t think the defense could have played better if they tried. Dalvin Cook was held to 54 yards on 18 carries (3.4 yards per carry).

** I truly thought Louisville was going to win this game but I had no idea they could dominate this game the way that they did. From an effort standpoint, every single player gave 110%. To top that, the “ACC speed” that Petrino has spoken of wanting to achieve showed. Louisville was faster than Florida State at almost every position.

** I had a feeling Jaire Alexander was going to have a huge year returning punts for Louisville, but his effort today was second to none. Alexander could have very well had two punt return for TD’s if it wasn’t for what it appeared to be some sort of injury/cramp. His playmaking ability is unique and it showed with his electric returns.

** Lamar Jackson is a legitimate Heisman candidate and Louisville is a legitimate college football playoff contender. If you want to minimize the hype, good luck with that. It’s not going to stop anytime soon. And honestly? Louisville deserves it. They are that good.
